About the artist
Adam Sultan sets up painting as a game to play with simple formal ideas, working across hundreds of paintings every year in a variety of styles and sizes. He is consistently charmed by how color can be used to create light and energy in an image. He lives in Manhattan with his wife and two children, and works in his studio in Jersey City. He is the founder of Visiting Artists.
