About the artist
Matt Zaccari paints quickly, moving wet-into-wet to capture everyday subjects. Pushing back on the noise and information overload of today, his paintings distill eclectic moments into modest, lyrical images. He received his MFA in Printmaking from Pratt in 2012, but now prefers the immediacy and surprise that come with painting. When a piece doesn’t work, he throws it out. Matt loves working as a florist, and he runs every day.
